Mathematical model of UV-induced melanin screen

Abstract: 

The mathematical model of UV—induced melanogenesis as а nonlinear dynamic system with negative feedback is presented. The system of ordinary and partial differential equations for the number of melanocytes, number of melanosomes in melanocyles and keratinocytes and melanin content in lower and upper layers of epidermis is derived. Problems of numerical calculations of model equations and its possible applications to UV—therapy optimal modes calculation are discussed.
