Abstract:

We consider the coherence resonance effect and stochastic synchronization in coupled excitable systems. We do the electronic experiment on the monovibrator (threshold device) to study the properties of noise induced oscillations and to simulate the stochastic behavior of simple neural circuit. We show that considered noise induced effects can provide the operation of small neural ensembles like central pattern generators.
