Abstract:

In the framework оё the nonlinear Schrodinger equation е propagation of the 2D pulses of backward volume magnetostatic waves (BVMSW) with the dispersion βₗ, and diffraction βₜ, coefficients ratios inherent in pure dipole βₗ/βₜ<<,1 and dipole-exchange
βₗ/βₜ≈1 waves was investigated. It is shown that with the wave amplitude growing at the input transducer the 2D pulses of dipole BVMSWs can splite into а pair of isolated portions propagating in the opposite directions with respect to each other. As βₗ/βₜ≈1, the increase of the 2D pulses amplitude also results in its splitting, but the obtained pulse portions can interact and generate structures that are topologically different from an input pulse. It is demonstrated that choosing the width of the input antenna, the duration and amplitude of the input pulse may assist in generating a 2D soliton of the BVMSW envelope and in observing an effect looks like a «pulse stop» when the position of the signal amplitude maximum in the film is invariable during a time period comparable with the pulse duration.
