Abstract:
Properties of electron beam, focusing by uniform or periodic magnetic fields, are investigated in the case when initial state of beam is quite different from equilibrium. It is shown, that nonlinear space charge field provides conditions for beam’s selforganisation in spite of chaotic oscillations of individual electrons. Requirements to electron-optical systems, forming nonlaminar beams with abrupt borders are discussed.
