Abstract:

This paper is devoted to the noisetron creation history in 1967 – the chaotic oscillations oscillator consisted of two traveling wave tubes (TWT), contacted successively in ring. It is shown that the noisetron creation is the result of the work on HF noise generation in the systems electron-ion plasma–electron stream, which was fulfilled in V.Ya. Kislov’s laboratory. This work was initiated by the theoretic investigations on the interaction of electron stream with electron-ion plasma, fulfilled by V.Ya.Kislov in the period of 1956...1960 years. The experimental verification of these results leaded to the discovery of the HF noise generation in the plasma backward wave oscillator (BWO) in 1962–1963. It is maintained that the investigation the noisetron operation mechanism for the first time took evident the reason of appearance of the regime of HF noise generation in determinate system without plasma and independently on the own noises of electron stream. This reason picked out in noisetron construction as TWT-nonlinear element, that is the reason of this regime is the system nonlinearity. The brief information about the work on the noisetron subject in V.Ya. Kislov’s laboratory is given for the period of next years, including 1980 year. On the basis of upper consideration the conclusion is done that the investigation results obtained in IRE of Academy of Sciences of USSR marked the beginning of the new science direction – investigation of nonlinear chaotic dynamics of the autooscillation systems.
