Lewis Carroll as nonlinear phenomenon

Abstract:
Stylistic peculiarities and space-time characteristics of creative activity and biography of Lewis Carroll enable us to consider him as nonlinear system with clear-cut attractors in the domains of paradoxes, nonsense fiction and love for children. It is worth of mentioning that the transition from the basin of one attractor to that of another one in the case of Carroll is not accompanied with catastrophes and bifurcations but takes place smoothly.

Acknowledgments:
The author expresses his deep friendly gratitude to D.I. Trubetskov, whose notes made it possible to restore the text of the lecture, and N.N. Levina, whose gentle persistence contributed to the realization of the author’s long-standing dream of attracting the attention of those involved in nonlinear dynamics to a strongly nonlinear non-equilibrium object, which Lewis Carroll was and will forever remain.
