Synchronization of the eye movements of daphnia by external electric field

Abstract: 

The investigation results of eye movement synchronization of daphnia freshwater crayfish by external electrical fields have been presented. Moment of the synchronization appearance was associated with the capture of fundamental frequency of daphnia eye oscillations by the frequency of external electrical signal. Dependence of magnification of alternating electrical voltage for which synchronization effect of daphnia eye was observed, on composition of water environment in which daphnia was placed, has been investigated.
