Study of a parametrically excited rotor with periodic motions

Abstract:
The periodic motions of a rotor described by nonlinear nonautonomous differential equation with four parameters are studied. For small values of parameters equations of bifurcation surfaces limiting existence regions of oscillatory and rotatory periodic motions are obtained. In the bounded region of the parameter space their bifurcation diagrams containing regions of existence and stability are constructed. Bifurcations leading to excitation of periodic motions and to change of stability type are found.
