Abstract:

The results of numeric investigation of а low-dimension two-mode model, describing approximately scenario of transition to the multi-frequency regime in the free electron laser with а low-Q microwave system are presented. The qualitatively different mechanisms of stability loss of а one-frequency generation are revealed. The topographies of dynamical regimes and Lyapunov’s exponents on a parameter plane: transmission coefficient — dimensionless space interaction length are presented.
